Thoughts on the New Year

As we move into 2009, it is important to take one final look at this past year to see where we have been. What lessons have been learned?  What are we ready to release?

Take some time to sit quietly in your safe space, wherever that might be, and contemplate what this past year has been about for you. Write down what you believe your most significant achievements have been, what your most challenging moments have been. What no longer serves you in your life? Are you ready to release it?  Set your intention to let go of the old. It is important to do so because in order to allow for the new to come into our lives, we must first release anything we might be holding onto which may be blocking us energetically from manifesting that which we desire.

Once you have gotten clear about what you want to release you can create a ritual such as writing it down on a piece of paper and burning it. Or you can go to the ocean and symbolically set it into the ocean to "wash" it away.
The next step is to then set your intention of what you want to manifest in the new year. Write this down and give it your energy. Think about it with pleasure and gratitude. Expect it to come. Feel it as if it is already a part of your life. In this way you will be actively creating the life you want.

Good Luck and Happy New Year!
